Military Inspired Victory Roll

Vintage hair was very much a part of history and you can really see this in the strong war statements made by beauty magazines in the late 1940s.This particular style is called the ‘Victory Roll’. It is a remarkably intricate hairstyle which requires curling and careful pinning. The back is rolled into a V-shape. The final  look is polished, elegant and really suitable for a wedding or vintage bride.

In the 1930s, military chic was common and army style berets were used on models in beauty shoots. I am not sure the beret would fit into a wedding but I can see it as part of a themed engagement shoot.
